Official RPI directions and map. (The campus map on this site is better than what we have, below.)

The exhibit is located in the basement of Davison Hall on the RPI Campus in Troy, NY.

We are NOT located at 110 8th Street (RPI's official mailing address - there is not even a single building at that address), nor are we in the Student Union, 15th & Sage (the RMRR's mailing address).

From points north:

Take I-87 South to Route 7 East into Troy (Hoosick Street). Make a right onto Burdett Avenue. (Burdett is between 17th and 21st Streets as you go up the hill.)
Hoosic Street at the intersection of Burdett, at the traffic light.

Continue south on Burdett past Samaritan Hospital and the RPI Field House, until you reach the last parking lot on the right side of the street, directly across from Troy High School. (You will first see Doyle Middle School on your left, but that is attached to Troy High, and we are directly opposite the high school. You can park in the lot on the weekends, but during the week, park on the street.) Our entrance is around the corner from the yellow "RxR" sign.

From points south, east, and west:

Take NYS Thruway/I-87/I-90 to I-787 North. Take the exit for Route 7 East and proceed to Burdett Avenue according to the above directions.

Via Amtrak

The closest station stop is the Albany-Rensselaer one, about 10 miles south of RPI. It is a real pain to get from the depot to RPI. The number of the station is 518 462-5763 to find out about car rentals and any other questions you might ask. I believe there is only one cab company which has the right to take passengers from the depot, Amtrak Yellow Cab, 518 433-0300. (You would want to tell the cab company you need to get to Troy High School, as the RPI campus itself is just big enough to get lost on.) Enterprise advertises they will come and pick you up. The nearest one is just across the river in downtown Albany (518 472-1111).
